Self-awareness among private college students

The research aims to identify self-awareness among private college students, as well as statistically significant differences in self-awareness among private college students according to the variables of gender (male - female students) and academic specialization (scientific - humanities). The research was limited to students of the Islamic University of Al-Sabah in Najaf Governorate according to the variable of gender (male - female students) and academic specialization (scientific - humanities), for the academic year (2021-2022). To achieve the research objectives, the researcher relied on the following:
1- Using (the descriptive correlational approach) to detect self-awareness among private college students
2- Constructing a scale for self-awareness among private college students according to Goleman's theory (Goleman, 2000)
In continuation of this, the researcher applied the tool to the statistical analysis sample of (300) male and female students, and the psychometric properties of the tool were extracted, while the final application sample amounted to (400) male and female students.
