Poetics according to the formalists from the perspective of the characteristics of language

Poetics is considered one of the ancient and modern terms that occupied a wide space in studies of contemporary critical and literary approaches. Among these approaches is the formal approach, which delved into its study and developed a modern poetic theory. This research moved to identify the most important elements that the formalists relied on in defining the poetics of the literary text, especially They went beyond the issue of the text’s connection to reality or the surrounding context, and made the text separate from other contexts. Hence, formalism paid great attention to form and made it a dynamic, concrete, meaningful unit The research consisted of an introduction and three sections. In the introduction, the research dealt with identifying the foundations of formalism and the starting points for its formation. In the first section, the research stopped at the poetic language of the formalists, and then the second section moved to search for the concept of form and content according to the formalists.
