The Role of Foreigners in Egyptian Trade (1869-1892)

Egypt received great importance from foreigners, especially after the French invasion of Egypt, and after that campaign was accompanied by a number of scholars, who studied the conditions of Egypt from all sides, and thus drew the world's attention to the importance of Egypt. The foreign presence in Egypt emerged during the reign of both Said and Ismail Pasha, as they encouraged foreigners to come to Egypt, and they controlled important positions in the Egyptian government. The role of foreigners also became more evident during the reign of Tawfiq Pasha, and their control over Egypt politically. The research was divided into two sections, the first of which dealt with foreign influence in Egyptian trade, while the second dealt with the most prominent foreign commercial activities in Egypt during the period 1869-1892.
