The study of the social characteristics of the population is one of the important elements in the study of the population, and these characteristics are of great importance in the field of population studies, because they express the social structure, which can be based on defining the features of social activity and the importance of the elements of that activity and their relationship to the conditions of the geographical environment, and also contribute to the study of social characteristics It also contributes to knowing the ratios of the labor force and the non-working population to the population, knowing the extent of their contribution to social activity such as the production of goods and the provision of services, and knowing the extent of their ability, ratios and participation in building and developing society.
