Contribution of smart technologies to enhancing the level of urban water service - Diwaniyah District Center

Water is one of the most important resources in life and it is speculated that by 2025 almost half of the urban population will be living under water stress and under-supply. With the use of new technological developments in IoT-enabled smart devices and smart meters for water management the expected water depletion can be avoided. In the past years our time water monitoring and management has been implemented manually with intensive energy requirements and high capital expenditures with low efficiency recording. Overloading of overhead water tanks in residential, commercial, service and educational environments as well as broken pipes that lead to leaks contribute to waste in general.Normal water tanks cannot monitor or give analyzes and automatically detect the water level in the tank.Sabotage or blockage of transportation on distribution pipes may take a long time. The proposed model addresses the above-mentioned issues by implementing intelligent systems with interoperability and easily mountable to handle the automation of water supply management with energy efficiency and reduce energy cost in both home and enterprise environment within smart cities.
