Democracy and its practical problems in Iraq after 2003 AD

The issue of democracy in Iraq is an important and vital topic, because of its fundamental role in the political, social and economic life of Iraqi society, as this concept shaped the public and political life of all segments of Iraqi society, and it was a turning point in Iraqi political history, after decades of dictatorship, which he practiced The Baath Party regime is against the Iraqi citizens, so the process of democratic transformation in Iraq is considered a difficult process in all political, economic and societal aspects, and that process was accompanied by many problems that are still current to this day, and those problems varied according to the circumstances that accompanied the political process in terms of transformations, intersections, and external and internal influences, and gave us As a result, an incomplete democracy, which ultimately affected the political life in Iraq in general, and the life of the simple Iraqi citizen in particular.
The research concluded with multiple results, which are multiple problems that have become an obstacle to achieving true democracy that takes into account the interest of the citizen, and among those problems is the partisan and factional quota system resulting from political consensus, as well as the widespread administrative and financial corruption resulting from the disappearance of the parliamentary opposition, which has the largest role in the monitoring process of the apparatus. Therefore, we seek in this research to identify these problems and try to find effective solutions to them.
