Contribution of Civil Society in Public Policy Making

The researcher sought to explain the most prominent non-official actors, including civil society, in making public policies in the country, as civil society is a Western concept that originated in the confines of Western philosophers and emerged influentially through the writings of the Italian philosopher "Antonio Gramsci" at the beginning of the twentieth century. As for its spread in the Arab world, it came At the end of the last quarter of the last century, it began to influence public policy-making through the pressure tools that civil society enjoys, such as protests, sit-ins, interest groups, parties, media, and the like. At the beginning of the third millennium, it moved from a demanding civil society to a civil society participating in the political process and making public policies for the country .
