The research studies the most important phase in the history of US-Iranian relations, which is the Cold War phase. During that period, Iran became a victim of the strategic interests of major powers, by virtue of its strategic and economic location. During this period, the role of the United States of America also emerged as a superpower on the international stage following the British withdrawal from The Arabian Gulf was an attempt to compete with the Soviet Union in gaining a foothold in Iran, which during this period witnessed strong competition for influence there between the Soviet Union and the United States of America, which tried to appear as a defender of Iran’s rights
