Abstract

The role of smart digital technologies has increased over the past two decades as a strategy for urban planning and development. This article examines the problem of the lack of use of digital technologies that enhance urban resilience in economic fields, including the tourism field. It aims to use digital smart details, including geographical information systems techniques, as it provides a wide range of complex and technical services, and it works on the efficiency and effectiveness of the administrative system. Through a methodology based on collecting spatial data related to tourist hotels in the city of Najaf and working to build databases linked to the location and uploading them through the ArcGIS online application and the analytical structure, it provides this data, which works to enhance the tourist’s options and provide easy access to the destination that meets his desires and enhances the city’s resilience in this aspect. In the context of enabling information and communications technology and employing it within the framework of the digitization of tourist cities, which results in reducing the pressure on the city to cope with the number of tourists through the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) program, through which spatially relevant information about tourist hotels can be provided.
