Free poetry, poem construction and design accordingto Al-Sayyab and Nazik Al-Malaika

Abstract

My study of the selection of free verse and its significant relevance has  engaged many studies by academics and critics، especially because it involves an issue that has taken on vast views، which is the issue of separating who is more deserving of pioneering this free verse;namely  Nazik Al-Malaika and Badr Shakir al-Sayyab ، as well as the desire to investigate some of the facts of free verse that prompted to giving a new form to Arabic poem. It was most appropriate، according to the perspective of the early pioneers ،i.e. Nazik Al-Malaika and Badr Shakir al-Sayyab ، knowing the form and structure of the modern Arabic poem، and the aspect of comparison between the two poets in what was mentioned. Moreover، to present  the importance of free verse  in giving an image of choice without restrictions or obstacles، and this type of poetry was the most appropriate to choose of their sorrows and emotions and what they mentioned in creating this creativity، knowing the poetic components that represent the rhythmic and prosodic image as well as the defining of rhythm and its multiplicity، its goals، what type of rhyme، the features of the musical composition، the multiplicity of anapests، dividing the prosodic and counting them. The study discusses poetry that incorporates symbolism and mythology to  make it more appealing to the reader، as well as the plurality of ideas، and these are the most essential findings.
