This research examines the philosophy of Islamic education as a philosophy that derives its scope from the teachings of God Almighty and the educational lessons and guidance He directed to humanity to chart a sound course for life. These teachings are embodied through the ultimate role model, the noble Prophet.
The research consists of three sections. The first discusses the life and writings of the philosopher Zain al-Din al-Amili, the second discusses psychological and moral education in the thought of Zain al-Din al-Amili, and the third section deals with science and learning in al-Amili’s thought.
