This study tries to research the emergence of narration, as the means by which the event and the story are told, and when looking at the oldest manifestations of human art, which is poetry, we find a deep correlation between it and the narrative, as the latter has been based since its inception on two basic factors: the legend and religious songs that fall within Arabic poetry, and one of the elements of narration that stopped at the research, which is time, which is one of the most prominent pillars of the narrative, as the narrative can To retell past events or predict future events that will occur, and in this research, we will address in the introduction the concept of narration and the relationship to poetry, and then move on to the study of temporal paradoxes in the poetry of Hassan bin Thabet.
