STUDY THREE SPECIES OF CESTODES WORMES IN WHITE CHEEKED BULBULS IN IRAQ
Abstract
Three cestodes parasites were isolated from the small intestine of the white cheeked bulbul . These were ; Raillietine tetragona . Allohymenolepis sp. and Multiuterina sp. These cestodes are first records of their presence in the bulbul , and the last two are new to Iraq . A.R. tetragona was the most common cestode parasite of the bulbul and occurred in good numbers throughout the year . The percentage infection of the bulbuls by this parasite varied between 13% in winter and 20% in autumn . The other two cestodes were few in numbers and their percentage occurrence was less than 2% throughout the year .Downloads
