Threshold (of the night) at Badr Shaker Al-Sayyab

Abstract

Abstract :
Al-Sayyab talked about the night (and
what is related to it) as a title and made it a
title for some of the introductions to his
Diwan poems in his poetry collection
(Flowers and Legends) under the title (In
Autumn Nights.We see the black sad
picture has overshadowed his hair, so the
external nature is an extension of the
suffering internal nature and its relaxation
and his sincere emotional participation.
Death is not forgotten by al-Sayyab in the
autumn nights, and the connection between
death and autumn nights, the tyranny of
grief and its traditional association with the
poet, returns.
And the second poem is under the title (In
the Dark Village) when al-Sayyab returns
to the village with sadness in his eyes after
it was the home of love and comfort.And if
we move to the second group, which is (the
drowned temple), we find a decline in the
night and it appears only in one poem,
which is the poem (Seeing) and we find the
night in its third group (The House of the
Serfs) under the title in his poem (The Last
Night).
