The Fourth Industrial Revolution represents a link between integration in the digital system and the comprehensive digital transformation of all production processes. One of the most important repercussions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on the economies of the Arab oil-producing countries, especially Iraq, is the rapid development in the means of production related to technology, in a way that achieves the efficiency and flexibility of production processes and the low intensity of the capital used. With a strong connection to artificial intelligence and data processing, and providing large investments to modernize oil production techniques in a way that reduces carbon dioxide emissions and enhances the expansion of oil production, all of this requires the ability to proceed with the changes brought about by the Fourth Industrial Revolution and adopt the use of emerging technology.
The development of energy efficiency is directly linked to technological development as well as the volume of investments in the renewable energy sector, as research and development plays a major role in raising energy efficiency, in addition to finding new sources that were not previously known. Of course, most renewable sources of energy are Rooted, not recent, sources; But it requires modern technologies in terms of production and export. In the past few years, a tangible shift has been observed towards renewable sources of energy, which reflects the growing manufacturing capabilities and the increase in expertise and manpower. The Fourth Industrial Revolution would reduce the costs of energy production, in addition to finding solutions to the technical and artistic problems facing the production of these sources. The problem of variation in production and the problem of tracking the best point of solar radiation remained existing problems in the solar energy sector until solutions were found through algorithms. Developing solar panels to track the best point of solar radiation and thus increasing the efficiency of generation through the technological factor.
The world today stands at a crossroads with regard to the energy issue. This is due to multiple factors, namely the natural depletion of traditional sources of energy on the one hand, and the negative effects accumulated from the use of those sources on the other hand, such as climate change, global warming, and excessive environmental pollution associated with burning daily quantities of fossil fuels.
On the other hand, charging the future with energy faces multiple scenarios, but the closest to achieving it is the scenario related to developing energy efficiency and reducing energy density, through the involvement of renewable and new sources of energy in order to play an important role in the global energy balance, and thus renewable energy is transformed into a complementary energy. At present to alternative energy in the future. In light of all these international changes, the economic situation in Iraq is still very bad as a result of poor management and planning, following wrong economic policies, and not relying on digital transformation policies that ensure the efficiency of production processes.
