Appeals and Complaints

All researchers have the right to appeal the decision of the Journal Editorial Board regarding their violation of scientific behavior and publishing ethics. Any decision taken by the journal can be appeal or complained by sending an official letter via the journal's mail ( )

  • The editor-in-chief will form a sub- committee to consider the origin of the appeal or complaint, and then the committee will submit its recommendations or report regarding the complaint to the editor-in-chief. Within approximately two weeks, the complainant will be answered via his official mail.
  • The journal has a regular schedule and timing to respond to all appeal requests and complaints submitted to it, and these responses are documented and provided with compelling evidence, with an indication of the action taken by the journal regarding the type of complaint. Priority is given to complaints that have a significant impact on the reputation of the journal, the editorial board, the reviewers, and the reputation of the researchers.
  • Avoiding personal disputes and interests while dealing with any complaint or appeal, and the answer to the complainant is official.
  • Referring complaints that have a legal aspect to a specialized legal advisor and the editorial board, and not deciding on them except after a comprehensive legal review of them, and notifying the complainant that the subject of his complaint is in the hands of the legal advisor.
  • Al-Ghary Journal of Economic and Administrative Sciences is keen to move forward in following the instructions of (COPE) and resort to it in cases that are difficult for the editor-in-chief to solve or find a legal solution.
  • Asking the complainant to provide material evidence of the validity of his complaint, attached to this evidence. If there is a complaint about scientific plagiarism, the journal forms a committee of specialized reviewers to consider the complainant’s claim after the latter submits the supporting evidence about that with the letter of complaint or appeal.
  • Considering complaints about (scientific plagiarism) the theft of a complete research file and publishing it under the names of fake researchers. Here, the journal withdraws the published article and deletes it from its official pages, notifying the researchers that the publication of the research is not accepted and that they have violated the instructions of publishing ethics, and that the real author has not been granted permission to publish the research paper.
  • Non-disclosure of the identity of the complainant to the other party, and matters of correspondence and response remain in complete secrecy, and this procedure is basic part of the journal's policy. Notify the person that his identity remains unknown.
  • It is not allowed to publish research papers under pseudonyms by unknown researchers. Mentioning the names of the researchers explicitly, their places of work, and the means of communication with them are necessary to highlight the extent of transparency with which the Al-Ghary Journal of Economic and Administrative Sciences deals.
