Guide for Authors

Al-Ghary Journal of Economic and Administrative Sciences seeks to attract the largest possible number of authors seeking to publish their research on its electronic platform. Accordingly, the editor-in-chief of the journal directs all its efforts to overcome the obstacles facing researchers from various Arab and foreign countries. Therefore, the following steps have been put in place:

1·  The researcher sends his research electronically through the Journal’s platform and indicates on the first page his full name, scientific title, email, and place of affiliation (place of work), in both Arabic and English.
2·  The font type is (Times New Roman) for the body and margin. The body font size is (14), the margin font size is (12), and the line spacing ratio is (1.5).
3·  The researcher attaches with his research a summary in Arabic and English, regardless of the language of the research. The abstract includes: the purpose of the research, its methods, and its most important results, provided that this summary does not exceed ten lines.
4·  The search includes keywords in Arabic and English, at least three words related to the research topic.
5·  The method of documenting sources and references is according to the APA (American Psychological Association) style And Chicago style . The footnotes and sources of the research are placed at the end of the research. The research also includes a final list of approved sources and references.
6·  The journal’s editorial team has the right to determine the date of publication according to the first-come-first-served system.
7· The research shall not be returned to the researcher if two scientific experts decide that it is not fit for publication.

As for the steps for submitting research via the electronic journal platform, the researcher follows the following steps:

1·  The research to be published on the Journal’s pages is submitted by registering on thejournal’s platform and website.
2· After completing the registration process, click on submission, fill out all the required fields, and attach an electronic copy of the research.
3·  The research is received by the editor-in-chief, an editor from among the editorial board members is assigned, and an electronic notification is sent to the researcher of the receipt of his research.
4·  The researcher pays the research publishing fees.
5·  Send the research to two arbitrators with expertise in the research topic.
6·  The researcher is notified electronically that the research has been sent to the arbitrators.
7·  After completion of the arbitration by the scientific arbitrators, the comments are sent to the researcher via his e-mail.
8· After the corrections are made by the researcher, the research is sent again via the Journal’s platform to the editor-in-chief, and the corrected research copy is presented to the arbitrators again to show the extent of the researcher’s commitment to their observations and take their opinion. A publication acceptance is sent to the researcher via his e-mail, and the issue of determining the number in which the research will be published remains private to the editor-in-chief, and the sequence and precedence of submitting research is taken into account.

Guide to documenting sources and references:

The method of documenting sources and references is according to APA Manual of Style

Documentation of the book shall be in the following form: name of the author(s), title of the book (Edition,if available, provided that the first edition is not mentioned). Publisher, place of publication, year of publication.

An example of how to document a book: Haider Nima Bakhit, Economic Stability Policies, Amna Publishing House, Jordan, 2015.

- Documentation of a research or article published in a journal in the following form: name of the author(s), title of the article or research, name of the journal, the institution that issues it, volume number, issue number, year of publication.

An example of how to document an article or research: Ahmed Jassim Jabbar, developments in the natural gas industry and their effects on the global oil market, Al-Ghary School of Economic and Administrative Sciences, University of Kufa, Volume (14) Issue (3), 2017.

Documentation of conferences shall be in the following form: name of the author(s), title of the research paper, name of the organizing body(ies) of the conference, its duration and location.

An example of the method of documenting conferences: Haider Nimah Bakhit, Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Zarfi, indicators of the education sector in Iraq in light of the 2030 Agenda, research submitted to the conference of the University of Basra and Shatt al-Arab Private College (The Iraqi Economy in light of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda) for the period 17-18/ 4/2019, Basra.

- Documenting master’s theses and doctoral dissertations in the following format: author’s name, title of the thesis or dissertation, (unpublished master’s/doctoral thesis), college name, university name, year.

An example of documenting a master’s thesis or doctoral thesis: Haider Jawad Kazem, Measuring the Impact of Public Debt on Some Economic Variables in Selected Arab Countries - A Study for the Period (2001-2011), Unpublished Doctoral Thesis, College of Administration and Economics, University of Kufa, 2014.
