This study examines the role of strategic thinking, through its core dimensions—visionary thinking, integrative thinking, creative thinking, reflective skills, and systemic thinking—in strengthening the organization’s ability to adapt to environmental and organizational changes. The fieldwork was conducted at Pêrwer General Trading Company in Duhok, where a hypothetical framework was developed, incorporating two main hypotheses to test the nature of the relationship and impact between strategic thinking and organizational adaptability. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to a random sample of )80( employees out of a total population of )130(, with all responses deemed valid for statistical analysis. The data were analyzed using the statistical software (SPSS V.30) to describe and diagnose the research variables and to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings revealed significant correlations between the dimensions of strategic thinking and organizational adaptability, as well as a meaningful impact of these dimensions, both individually and collectively, on enhancing adaptability. Based on these results, the study recommends encouraging employees to put forward innovative ideas through internal platforms, initiatives, and incentive-based competitions, as such practices directly contribute to strengthening adaptability and developing practical solutions to challenges. Furthermore, it emphasizes the importance of establishing regular mechanisms to review adaptability levels and link them to strategic thinking practices, thereby ensuring the continuous development of the organization’s capacity to respond effectively to external changes.
