Abstract

We have sought, through this research, to reveal the cultural references - the religious reference - in the poetry of thieves, in the Noble Qur’an, and the Noble Prophetic hadith, especially the poets of the Islamic era, relying on“the Collection of Thief  Poets in the Pre-Islamic and Islamic Ages” as a material for study, and how to employ this reference. Their emotional and intellectual preoccupations, their lived experiences and their concerns in the eavesdropping profession, push them to strip themselves of the values of honesty and humanity. To bridge the gap of sense of emptiness and moral hollowness
