The goal of the Holy Qur’an in transmitting the stories of the past is to train and nurture ideas, to bring people’s attention to the beginning and the hereafter, and to refine souls and reach their perfection. It also deals with the aspects of teaching and education more than others, so that it followed the Qur’an in every field and occasion for this lofty goal and provided useful notices to others. This article seeks, within the descriptive and analytical method, to study the story of Joseph (PBUH) as a narration on two levels: the story and the speech (discourse and dialogue). And all this according to the theories of the science of the novel (narratives). We will study the successive integrated events, how the crisis is formed, and the transition process from the crisis at the level of the story, based on theories. We will take the role of the characters in running the story and their relationship with the background story.
