Abstract

The most important thing that distinguishes the Shiite sect from other Islamic sects is the belief in the imamate, and this concept has been widely reflected in the poetry of contemporary poets, and since the imamate is considered the main difference between the Shiites and the rest of the Islamic sects, its reflection in the poet’s poetry may express the poet’s belief and his belonging to the office of Ahl al-Bayt. But we cannot classify the belief of these poets in one level. In this research, we have tried to analyze the meaning of the Imamate in the poetry of contemporary poets and how they understood this concept, adopting the descriptive and analytical approach, and we used the Qur’anic verses and hadiths for that. And we got results from it
