Abstract

The research aims to reveal the variation in the analysis of the hydrological characteristics of the Abu Khamsa basin, west of Najaf, and the study included showing the correlation between the hydrological and morphometric variables. To the north and longitudes (0.0 1 7 4 3 - 0 0 1 2 4 4) east, with an estimated area of (822.18) km2, and it is administratively located west of Najaf governorate between the Rahimawi and Al-Maleh basins. From the first models depends on the Gatton equations to measure the time of concentration, deceleration, flow velocity, maximum flow value of torrents, volume of runoff, ideal duration of rainfall, and base time of torrents
