One of the most important damages that may be inflicted on the administrative system in any government is the spread of bribery among workers and employees within that system. “Bribery” is offered in order to bypass a right or to admit a falsehood, and this is what is called, in Islamic teachings, as “shaht” and the consumption of forbidden money, and it was also considered equal to disbelief in God Almighty. In this article, which was written according to a descriptive-analytical research method, the study included: indicators of the spread of bribery in one of the systems, the most important factors affecting its spread, and the negative results of its spread among workers and employees of the administrative system, with attention to the teachings of Imam Ali (PBUH) and the book Nahj al-Balaghah. The results of the research indicate that the most important factors for the spread of bribery are: weak faith, and attachment to worldly life
