Abstract

In the modern era, the Palestinian issue has attracted the attention of most poets, so that we can hardly find an Arab poet who has not dealt with it in his works. The Omani poets accompanied their brothers in other countries and dealt with the Palestinian issue in all its stations, so that we find a historical sequence for it with the events of the Palestinian issue or a recording of its history. The poet Saeed Al-Saqlawi was one of the most prominent poets who lived with the Palestinian cause with all sincerity and sincerity. They embodied the calamities that the Palestinian people went through as a result of that. He talked about the tragedies of the Zionist occupation of the land of Palestine and the resistance of the people. In turn, he tried to create cultural awareness about the Palestinian cause in Oman and the Arab world as a whole. In view of the artistic and aesthetic value of the poem "Trapped", we will focus on it in this article. The poem as a whole is divided into two patterns; The first is to draw and criticize the tragic reality by analogy with the prosperous Arab history, with the aim of raising awareness and mobilizing. In addition to this character, the poet uses other symbols such as the sun, palm trees, and water. These symbols, unlike the symbolism of Abd al-Rahman al-Dakhil, do not carry deep connotations, but were rather clear. Also, one of the characteristics of the artistic poem is its frequent use of the word “Is”, which indicates the enormity of the situation on the one hand, and the poet’s aspiration and his lack of despair in achieving his goals and hopes.
