The position of Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf on Arab issues A reading in samples of the research of the “Afaq Najafiyyah” magazine (2006-2017)

Abstract

Najaf was distinguished by the presence of the supreme authority in it, as it represents the “qiblah of the Shiite world”, with the weight and value of its stance towards any Arab or Islamic issue, as this study aims to stand on expressive examples of research and studies published by the magazine “Afaq Najafiyyah” in its issues issued during the years (2006-2017), amounting to (48) issues, from which Arab and Islamic topics and issues were singled out, through which I showed the extent of interest of the various societal segments in Najaf Al-Ashraf from reference, scholars, educated elites, politicians, and its people, recording bright pages in the history of Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf. On something, it indicates the size of the “intellectual, religious and political awareness” that the city of the door of the knowledge of the Messenger of God (PBUH) enjoys.
