Abstract

The permanent violations of human rights in various regions of the world made it imperative for the international community to seek the establishment of an international judicial body that would punish the persons responsible for the infringement, and this resulted in the agreement of states at the Rome Conference in 1998 AD to establish an international criminal court that would have jurisdiction over human crimes and how to follow up and punish the persons responsible for it. The Statute of the International Criminal Court included a set of principles and guarantees in order to achieve international criminal justice, however, after years of work it was found that they were not applied in some cases, and it was found to be insufficient to combat international crime and to achieve international criminal justice, which necessitated the amendment of its system However, this amendment included only a few aspects, which will affect the work of the court and its role in protecting human rights and amending the desired international criminal justice behind its establishment. human rights .
