In the contemporary world and during the past century, the fates of some countries, especially Iran and Egypt, are very similar and many of their social issues are similar for this reason. The famous Egyptian poet Salah Abd al-Sabour and Ahmed Shamlo, one of the leading pioneers of modern Persian poetry, were unaware of this topic, and have addressed it in many of their works. In this article, written in a descriptive-analytical manner, he compares the social issues in the poems of these two poets. The two poets have poetic similarities in many respects, though they may not be influenced by each other in many ways. However, we want to express the similarities and differences in the poetry of these two poets in the field of social issues such as poverty, tyranny, corruption in society, and patriotism.
