Abstract

This research aims to identify the source areas of dust phenomena in Iraq using remote sensing technology by analyzing satellite visuals and extracting aerosol index (AI) rates that were monitored by satellites, especially by the (OMERUVDVOO3) OMI satellite to determine the source areas of dust phenomena in Iraq And the development of special spatial models for it using GIS technology and for each month of the year for the period 2005-2018, as well as identifying the source areas of the annual dust phenomena. The dust phenomena in Iraq, according to this indicator, are in three main regions, which vary monthly, one in northwestern Iraq, the other in southeastern Iraq, and a third region in southwestern Iraq.
