Abstract

The research aims to know the reality of the transportation network in the city of Al-Hindiyah by presenting problems and developing appropriate solutions, as the most important characteristic of the city of Al-Hindiya is its location that connects several governorates, namely the center of the city of Karbala and the center of the city of Hilla, as well as the province of Najaf, and thus led to Increased traffic in the city, especially in the days of religious events due to its proximity to the holy city of Karbala, which is considered one of the most important religious centers. Which led to pressure on it, and several patterns appeared in the city, and the organic pattern was prevalent in the old neighborhoods, while the grid pattern was the largest percentage among the patterns, and it appeared in the neighborhoods that were subject to prior planning from the responsible authorities, and the industrial, commercial and residential function appeared in most streets City
