Abstract

The badhang is considered one of the refrigeration devices, which are of Persian origin, and appeared in the Arab Islamic countries during the Abbasid era.

In addition, this device had a tangible advantage on the environmental level, as it added a civilized architectural imprint that was characterized by accuracy and good taste, as it aimed to introduce air into all aspects of buildings and at multiple heights.

The nature of the study required that it be divided into an introduction, two sections and a conclusion.

The first topic: It was titled The concept of Badhanj and its impact on Islamic civilization.
