Abstract

This study included conducting some chemical tests on samples of groundwater (wells) for selected sites in the province of Najaf, including (acidity, electrical conductivity, total dissolved salts, total hardness, chlorides, magnesium ion, sodium ion, calcium ion) and these readings were entered Or the results in a mathematical model called (Watsuit Model), which is a method for predicting soil tolerance to salinity and toxicity problems resulting from irrigation water in steady-state conditions. The concentration (Cf) corresponding to the washout coefficient and the depth in the root zone. These coefficients are given in Table No. (1), and the evaluation of the suitability of irrigation water is calculated in comparison with the resistance of certain crops to salinity (Ec) and to sodium (SAR).
