Abstract

The importance of this study is evident in turning to the content of the book “Dictionary of Countries” by Yaqoot Al-Hamawi, because it contains long and not quick pauses on the entirety of the activities of history, as his great care was in military facts, political data, social activities, economic characteristics, and other activities of public life. Al-Mufid and to facilitate the reader’s order, the researchers pay attention to sorting and classifying these activities in specific categories.
