A proposed model for the quality standards of science textbooks

Abstract

The objective of the current research is to build a proposed model on the basis of which the quality of science textbooks (chemistry, physics, biology) is evaluated from the point of view of teachers of these subjects. This is due to the lack of Iraqi standards at the present time.

Among the requirements of the research, the two researchers built a questionnaire on the basis of which school science books are evaluated, as the questionnaire consisted of (4) main fields and (4) sub-fields of content, and after presenting the questionnaire to the experts and making sure of the psychometric characteristics of the questionnaire, the questionnaire in its final form became composed of (71) Paragraphs distributed as follows: Objectives (14) paragraphs
