The research dealt with an environmental study of the bacteriological characteristics of the Kufa water, in order to know its suitability for drinking). Humans directly and indirectly and over different time scales, as house waste and heavy sewage create a good environment for the transmission of diseases, as such water contains a number of germs, pathogenic bacteria or parasites, and accordingly some tests were conducted to detect the degree of pollution and the biological characteristics of the Kufa Shatt water
