Abstract

Al-Jawahiri experienced many political events in his homeland, Iraq in particular, and the Arab world in general, and he explained his opinion about them, embodying his national affiliation, as his poetry was a mirror that reflected to us what was going on around him in terms of political and social issues for a period of a century. Freedom of expression, which helps protect and promote human rights, and enables exposing and condemning violations of human rights, as freedom of expression is one of the things that help support rights such as the right to education, freedom of thought, the right to vote, demonstration and protest, the right to justice, and others. All of them include political and social rights. The research concluded that Al-Jawahiry's view of freedom of expression was negative. Because it was fought by the ruling authority and violated by corrupt parties, it does not represent the will and aspirations of the people.
