In our study, we dealt with the book (The Misers) by Al-Jahiz, which is considered one of his wonderful books, if not the most wonderful of them. It was characterized by an objective, accurate treatment, and in it he gathered many news related to the misers of his time, and dealt with the theologians and the Mu'tazilites. An accurate portrayal that cannot be compared to an approachable depiction, pictures of the life of Basra and Baghdad during his reign. The researcher thinks that the book Al-Bakhla’ is one of the books he wrote in his last years of life when he was afflicted with paralysis. It is one of the books that were written during his illness along with the book “The Animal” which was the last thing he wrote. This is evidenced by what was mentioned in the book itself in his story with Mahfouz Al-Naqash By saying: He said, O Abu Othman, it is colostrum and coarseness, or is it the night and its stagnation, then a night of rain and dampness, and you are a man of advanced age and you are still complaining of paralysis.
