Abstract

The British Political Agency in Muscat was not only a regular diplomatic headquarters, but rather a multifaceted institution with diverse purposes (political, economic and social), all serving and managing British interests in all parts of Oman and the Arabian Gulf region, especially in this historical era (1899-1914). which was characterized by its fertility and the rapid pace of its events; As it witnessed the peak of European colonial activity aimed at competing with Britain and its participation in imposing hegemony and influence on the region, which constituted unprecedented political pressure on the British Agency in Muscat and created for it many difficulties and complications.
The study of the administrative structure and the political position of the agency is of great importance
