An analytical study of the problems of the urban environment. Case study: Al-Thawra district in the city of Hilla

Abstract

The urban growth represented by the population, economic, social, urban and cultural growth and the increase in migration caused multiple problems in the environment of the city of Hilla, which made controlling these problems and developing policies and solutions difficult, which disturbs the planning and executive authorities in the city. In view of the complexity of the problems resulting from the phenomenon of urban growth, such as housing and environmental deterioration and the increase in poverty and social problems, the research included a study of four problems, namely (solid waste, health, poverty and random housing) in the Al-Thawra area in the city of Hilla in order to develop policies and solutions to reduce the impact of these problems
