Abstract

Religious tourism is of great importance from economic, social and cultural aspects, especially in a city such as Najaf, because it represents a sacred status for Muslims at the level of Iraq and the world because of its historical and Islamic depth. The research emphasized the study of the elements of tourism in the city of Najaf, starting with highlighting the status of shrines and religious shrines in it, on top of which is the shrine of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and the rest of the shrines and other religious institutions. The research also emphasized the study of the infrastructure that would contribute to the establishment and development of tourism in this city, which included everything a tourist needs from the time he entered the city of Najaf until his departure, which included accommodations, restaurants, and transportation.
