Abstract

Contemporary war drama has been described as a reaction to the deep suffering created by war which, unfortunately, has become the supreme language of communication in modern times. Thus, the contemporary English political theater has shown a unique interrelationship between drama and politics: the interest in the war between the United States and Iraq is indeed no exception. The British playwright, David Hare, belongs to the trend of war dramas that enable the world to see the truth, shock and violence of the American war in Iraq.
