A study of the religious and historical dimension of Babylon and its impact on tourism (the shrine of the Prophet Zul-Kifl as a model)

The tourism sector in general, and religious and archaeological tourism in particular, is of great economic importance at the present time, because it provides a basic economic resource comparable to other natural resources such as oil and minerals. Which highlights the features of the Islamic heritage throughout the ages of the mosques and takyas scattered throughout the city, which includes more than 200 religious sites for the prophets and imams, peace be upon them, and the righteous saints.
The research focuses on the shrine of the Prophet of God, Dhu al-Kifl, and its importance in developing the tourism sector in the province of Babylon for the importance it occupies from a historical and ideological point of view for the Jews first and then the Muslims as one of the prophets mentioned in the Holy Qur’an and the Book of the Torah, and its high status due to its deep connection with the spiritual aspects and religious rituals of the people Regardless of their religious beliefs, so we will work on using that in explaining the importance of the shrine as one of the important tourist attractions in the city of Babylon in particular and Iraq in general, because undoubtedly, the presence of the tombs of the prophets helps in revitalizing the tourism aspect.
