This critical reading sheds light on the aesthetic and cognitive structure of the poem “Al-Khimar” by the poet Hassan Al-Amrani, which was inspired by another reading of an old text by Victor Hugo. A reference mentality similar to the reference structure carried by Hugo's poem ninety-two years ago! Despite the transformations and changes that societies have undergone during all these years, there are some intellectual models that have remained. This symbolic employment is an important factor for receiving the text for the audience of readers, and therefore This study is based on studying the form and content, and diving deep into the text to absorb and analyze it.
