Evaluating the financial well-being of a sample of commercial banks listed in the Iraqi Stock Exchange

The current study seeks to analyze and evaluate the financial well-being of banks, and in order to achieve the goal of the study, the study tested a sample of commercial banks, which were classified as private joint stock companies using data extracted from the annual financial statements, and the reports published on the website of the Securities Commission, and the Iraq Market. Securities for the period from (2010-2020). The sample included (10) ten listed commercial banks, and the study used the modified ALTMAN Z-Score model in measuring and evaluating the financial well-being of the study sample banks. In order to process the data, many financial equations and statistical methods were used, and the results were extracted using the computer program ( The most important finding of the study and through the results obtained is that all commercial banks enjoy high welfare except for the Iraqi Middle East Bank and the Bank of Baghdad, where the results of the Z-Score analysis indicated that they are in the gray area.
