Abstract

The transportation system and the road network are among the most important components of cities. The transportation network and its regional interdependence contribute to enhancing the adequacy and performance of the city for its functions, ensuring ease and smooth movement, and linking the city with its region and other regions. In addition, it represents the road network, one of the linking elements between the stables and the system of all interactions. And the city of Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf is like the other cities in which the uses of the land are distributed between the ancient and the modern. In order to reconcile the needs of the modern man, it was necessary to pay attention to the study of the road networks in the city and the degree of their harmony with the needs of the present and future man.
