Aristotelian Persuasion In The Very Short Story Verses Hassan Ali Al-Batran as a model

Abstract

 For ancient Greek philosophers, the subject of persuasion took on the meaning of argument and deception. The work of the sophists was characterized by fallacy, manipulation of passions, and maneuvering.  It is difficult to imagine the survival of these societies within this overwhelming torrent of lies and global fabrication, so it has become necessary to fight the deception of these discourses.  If Plato fought the Sophists by revealing the values ​​that they portrayed in the practice of pilgrims in society, then Aristotle fought them in the literal sense of speech and revealed the mechanisms.The arguments they rely on. The sophist is the negative and dangerous aspect of the practice of persuasion according to Aristotle.  Thus, the Aristotelian approach to persuasion was essentially logical, and directed to the human being in its entirety: its mental and emotional impact.  Since the basic goal of persuasion is to elevate the human being through direct human interaction through dialogue, expression, respect for opinion, and presenting opposing arguments with evidence and proof on valuable grounds.  Aristotelian rhetoric has become one of the most important persuasive theories in the past. It has reached a sublime level in the search for arguments that produce persuasion. The characteristic, character, and function of discourse is persuasion.  Being the effective means of achieving the goal of speech is what led rhetoric to pay attention to argumentative persuasion, considering that argument can only be achieved through communication with the other, then defining the goal of the addressee in winning over the mind of the listener and influencing it, then convincing him of a specific goal or trying to change his thoughts.  Aristotle described ancient rhetoric as “the rhetoric of persuasion,” relying on the analysis of the rhetorical statements on which the arguments addressed to the audience are based. Persuasion is considered the arsenal of the communicative process that derives its strength from rhetoric. Therefore, it is self-evident that persuasion and rhetoric merge in many rhetorical and declarative methods that show meaning in a way.  Impress the soul with the eloquence of persuasion through rhetorical effects and rhetorical images that have an impact on the addressee.
