Abstract

This research-survey aims to know the impact of fictional characters (literary and artistic) on the memory of the reader or viewer in Iraq. The research is a field survey that collects the opinions of participants from different backgrounds, divided between university students and others.

The first part of the survey was conducted electronically among students of the French Department at the Faculty of Languages ​​at the University of Kufa, and the second part was conducted electronically among students from other specialized departments and various universities and among people outside the university environment and through various social media platforms.

The aim of the research is to know the extent of the influence of fictional characters, especially French, on the memory of the Iraqi reader or viewer, whether they are students specializing in French language, literature and culture or not.
