Abstract

Extremism is considered one of the deviant ideas that existed in the history of mankind and before Islam. Extremists attributed the extreme and exaggerated lineage to people such as the prophets, imams, and saints, and it may lead them to the degree of divinity, and they claimed that they have attributes such as the attribute of divinity. Extremist ideas have become reprehensible in Islamic teachings, and the principle of monotheism has been proven. Presenting scientific strategies to counter extremism and extremist and exaggerated ideas were extremely important and necessary for social and educational institutions. There are strategies in the lifestyle of the Prophet () and the infallible Imams () that can be extracted and reported. These strategies fall into two parts: scientific and practical. This study dealt with extremism, clarified and criticized it. In it, the methods of the infallible imams () were presented and studied in dealing with extremists. The collection of information in this study is based on a desk basis, and the study used the descriptive-analytical approach to process information
