This research aims to explore the impact of soft skills in human resources as an independent variable, encompassing dimensions such as (communication, critical thinking, time management, leadership skills, decision-making, and teamwork), on job burnout as a dependent variable, represented by its dimensions (emotional exhaustion, cynicism, and reduced personal accomplishment) within the Baghdad Electricity Distribution Company. The research problem stems from the limited attention given to soft skills in human resources and its subsequent impact on job burnout among the company's employees. This research employed a descriptive analytical approach, utilizing a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The questionnaire was distributed to a purposive sample of 185 individuals, encompassing administrative levels across departments, branches, and units within the aforementioned company. SPSS v26 statistical package was used to analyze the research findings. Data analysis involved statistical methods such as (standard deviation, mean, simple linear regression, and Pearson correlation coefficient). The research findings indicate a significant and inverse relationship between soft skills and job burnout. This suggests the importance of emphasizing soft skills and their role in mitigating job burnout levels, which in turn facilitates adaptation to environmental changes and pressures.
