Abstract

The economic developments at the level of the global economy have contributed to a qualitative leap in different economic fields, as most advanced world economies depend nowadays on modern technology. Digital Economy has become the leader in these countries economies. That has motivated the (GCCs) and Iraq to take similar steps following the advanced countries in developing their abilities in knowledge economy to sustain their economic sources being renter economies depending on one sector which income can be influenced by other countries leading the to u stability. The paper hypotheses is that depending on Digital Economy will enable countries under study to achieve sustainable development. The research aim is shedding light on the role of digital economy in achieving sustainable development for (GCCs). It also tries to identify the extent of success these countries have achieved to make transition to digital economy by using certain indicators.
