Abstract

The topic of the study focuses on addressing the structural imbalances of the Iraqi economy for the period from 2003-2018. This topic is one of the most important topics that require treatment and by addressing it, the problems that the economy suffers from, especially the Iraqi economy, will be solved, which is represented by a noticeable deterioration as a result of the weak economic diversification of the country and the increase in the degree of exposure. Economic, as well as the control of Iraq's foreign trade on oil, meaning its dependence on the unilateral economy, as well as the size of the country's external debt. The significant decrease in the degree of economic diversification led to negative effects on all components of the Iraqi economic structure, and consequently the scarcity of local commodity products and the weakness of the local market in meeting demand.
